Abstract

Please use the abstract preparation form. which can be download From the link provided below or you can download from tapasu offical website tapasu.in .After downloading open with MS Office 2007 or above, click view, then click edit document and then fill the form.

Please fill the form using MS Office 2007 or above and save the file as a word file (*.docx) as first author name and abstract no. (If more than one abstract is being submitted by the same author).

For example if Dr. R. Manikandan is submitting one abstract then file name for abstract shall be is ‘r.manikandan’. if Dr. R. Manikandan is submitting three abstracts, then they should be given file names ‘r.manikandan1’, ‘r.manikandan2’, and ‘r.manikandan3’ .

ABSTRACTS CAN BE SUBMITTED ONLY BY EMAIL

Abstracts must be submitted by email only as an MS Word file as an attachment. To avoid a situation that your abstract can not be submitted due to technical difficulties, computer problems or other reasons, you are advised to submit your abstract well on time. Please note that abstract submission in the form of a hard copy will not be accepted.

Abstracts may be submitted for the following categories

A. Dr. N. Krishnamoorthy Prize - Free Papers
B. Salem Poster Prize - Moderated Poster Presentations
C. Sri Vedanayagam Prize in Uro-Oncology
D. Sri Shanmugam Prize for Ideas and Innovations
E. Pondicherry Video Prize - CDs / DVDs of video must reach the Hon. Secretary by 5th August, 2024 failing which the video shall not be considered.
F. Unmoderated Poster (Non-competition)

Submission deadlines: Last date for abstract submission is 5th August 2024.

Submission rules:
1. The presenting author must be the first author.
2. The presenting author must mandatorily be a member of TAPASU or should send the application form with online paid membership fee details of Rs.5000/- to info.tapasu@gmail.com
3. In case the presenting author is not a member of TAPASU and he/she has sent the abstract form, the submission shall be rejected.
4. All papers will be reviewed by a panel of referees before being accepted. Acceptance/ rejection of abstract will be intimated by email.
5. Members who fail to present paper after accepting will be debarred from presentation for the next one year. Papers should not be repeated in different formats like Podium/Poster /Video.

Rules for abstract preparation:

Authors: Type full last name and first name of all authors, omitting any titles, degrees and institutional affiliations.

Affiliation: Type the name of the Institution, Department and City.

Title: Type the title in this section.

Size: The size of the abstract is limited to 300 words and a preferred front is Times New Roman (this includes title, body of abstract, spaces, tables and graphics but excludes authors name and affiliation).

Body of the abstract should have the following headings for research papers:
- Introduction & objectives
- Materials & methods
- Results
- Conclusions

For case reports the following headings should be used:
- Introduction
- Case report
- Discussion

Kindly Note:
The abstracts will be anonymously reviewed and the outcome of the abstract selection will be notified by email indicating the exact date, time & hall of presentation if selected.

Authors may submit more than one abstract.

The scientific committee reserves the right to accept, reject or assign final presentation type.

Submission of abstract implies that the authors agree to the above mentioned rules.
